HOW DID YOU BECOME AN ENTREPRENEUR?
Well, I never thought that I will be starting of my own. It just happened. I was working for a startup which was about to shut down soon. As soon as it got shut down, I thought of making my own blog/website and then I found some new products that I wanted to launch. By the time I was applying for new jobs, the Digital Marketeer inside me couldn't resist to put some new marketing strategies on the website. As soon I saw that working without a boss can actually make my website rank higher than all the websites combined I have worked for in last few years.
WHAT'S AN EXAMPLE OF THE WORK YOU DO?
My work is not actually defined as Highonleather.com is an marketplace where there are lot of sellers of leather bags and buyers of the same. My work involves from procuring the goods to check the quality, from pitching new clients to make social media strategies.
WHAT DO YOU THINK YOU WOULD BE DOING IF YOU NEVER DECIDED TO TAKE THE PATH YOU ARE ON NOW?
I would have been taken a job at some eCommerce company as digital marketing head. Then again, I still feel like I would have been trying to convince my boss that SEO isn't a month process and it takes patience for a website to grow.
IN THE BEGINNING, WHAT MOTIVATED YOU TO BECOME AN ENTREPRENEUR?
Mostly, It was an anger and frustration. It was high time to know that whatever I know, my skills, my knowledge. Are they really good that companies should hire me as their Digital Marketing Head. If they are this good then why do I need to work for someone else?
WHAT HAS BEEN YOUR GREATEST ACHIEVEMENT?
Finding the perfect balance in my life.
WHAT ARE SOME OF THE THINGS YOU ENJOY MOST ABOUT WHAT YOU DO?
Well, the best part about working for yourself is giving yourself a time. Even if you are working 16 hours a day you know you are free to take 2-3 days off to travel. Finally, now I can maintain my personal relationships, workout, eat healthy and live a balanced life.
WHAT DOES SUCCESS MEAN TO YOU AS AN ENTREPRENEUR?
As per me success is happiness. Finally, I can now see realistic dreams and now I can work every day to fulfill those dreams.
IS THERE ANYTHING YOU DO ON A DAILY BASIS TO HELP YOU GROW AS AN ENTREPRENEUR? ANYTHING SPECIAL IN YOUR DAILY ROUTINE?
Well, working out and reading new articles would be the major thing as Digital Marketing is an industry for smart and creative workers than hard workers.
WHAT ENTREPRENEURIAL ADVICE DO YOU DISAGREE WITH?
As per the growing trend, I would say I don't agree to the statement that at some point in startup, you will need a funding. People have stopped believing in earning money through ideas. As soon as they have an idea, they start looking for investors instead of trying and making paychecks from that idea.
HOW HAS BECOMING AN ENTREPRENEUR TURNED YOU INTO A BETTER PERSON?
As I mentioned above, I am able to manage every prospect of life whether be health, family, work or anything else.
WAS THERE EVER A LOW POINT WHEN YOU ALMOST CALLED IT QUITS?
There were low points in fact there were many but never thought of quitting it. When there were low points, I told myself that I don't need huge money to survive. I will be just okay but then once the website went viral in USA as genuine leather bag seller it all changed.

An entrepreneur is someone who jumps off the cliff and builds a plane way down.
IF YOU COULD OFFER BUDDING ENTREPRENEURS ONLY ONE PIECE OF ADVICE, WHAT WOULD IT BE?
Don't be scared of creating a mess. The best creativity comes out when you are in a mess. Just start, don't wait for investors. If you believe in your idea, someday you might not even need an investor.
